John 20: 1, 11-16: 1. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb ( to anoint Jesus with embalming spices , found in the three other accounts,) and found that the stone was rolled aside from the entrance. 11....Mary was standing outside crying. And as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb and saw two (white robed) angels sitting at the head and foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. "Why are your crying?" the angels asked her. "Because they had taken away my Lord," she replied. "and I don't know where they have put him.".... 14 She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone ... it was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him! 15 "Why are you crying?" He asked her. "Whom are you looking for?" She thought He was the gardener. "Sir," she said "if you have taken Him away . tell me where you have put Him, and I will go and get Him." 16 "Mary!" Jesus said. She turned toward Him. "Master!" she exclaimed.****** In this creation I made there are dogwood trees,as I had mentioned in the Good Friday one of its meaning, The Easter Lily also it's significance is mentioned in the Good Friday blingee I did, Water because Christ is the "living water." The main theme of this creation is the account from the gospel of John, for John, only mentions Mary Magdalene (all other accounts always mention her as one that was there with other ladies all say Jesus first appeared to her, but John mentions only her coming early on Sunday morning) I have her carrying what was one of the main embalming spices of the time, Myrrh one of the three gifts given to Jesus by the wise men. I also have it setting outside the tomb, the two angels. Here I have Jesus setting on a stone, rubbing His neck a little. I thought after the rough three days He might be do that. That was more than a rough weekend, He had been beaten, crucified and gone to hell so we wouldn't have too. I think even God would rub His neck as if that was really not a great weekend. At least not for Him, but for You and Me it was. In fact,it was and still remains, the greatest weekend in the history of mankind, Because we don't have to go through any of that, although we all deserve exactly that. Nevertheless, because of what He did for us that weekend out of such great love for each of us, we never have to do any of that, if we will only believe in this wonderful and loving Savior Jesus, and ask Him to come into our lives. May you have a Blessed Resurrection Day for Christ Has Risen! He has Risen Indeed! Amen
