..:: Decay of Autumn ::..

Beneath the bitter blanket, every edge just as cold as its center. An end, is upon us. Birds leave us, no more sunsets filled with wings anxious to get home. Other souls close their eyes, hiding away with a blanket of their own. Decay dances delicately on every branch, leaves crumble and flowers wilt away with no sound. There is no struggle here, for this decay is welcomed among us. This end, assures us of a new day. Slowly and kindly, it smothers us. The blanket weighted beyond any strength, the air stings our lungs. Roads are still, trees stand tall, weighted by bitterness. No longer does the creak offer sanctuary of water, for it too, lay still. A coat of glass suffocates all which does not move, even those they do, begin to succumb.
