An Apple A Day....................

Her mother had died from eating an apple from an evil witch, so did her best friend Princess Renee, being an educated Princess in Fairy Land, she knew NOT to eat this apple. After her mother had succumb to the poison, she had taken Poison Apple 101 in High School, so she was sure if one day, she was offered an apple, she knew how to protect herself. (She even carried a little bottle of Apple Spray to help her.) Well, that day has come. While taking a walk through the forest as most princesses must do (for show) she was playing and and dancing with the forest animals when suddenly in front of her appeared an old lady with a basket of apples. Her alarms started going off, for she was taught in Poison Apple 101, that 99% of the time it was an old lady with a basket. The lady smiled a toothless, but warm smile as her and reached into her basket and pulled out the biggest and juiciest apple she had ever seen. It was beautiful and rosy cheeked full of crisp bite. She felt herself almost salivating...slowly all tarining from Fairy Tale School and Poison Apple 101 went out of her head, all she could see was the apple. "Here my child a gift from a poor old woman. Please take it for I grew it in my own garden to present to her royal highness as a gift." She moved closer extending the apple toward the princess. She heard words coming out of her mouth; "No really I shouldn't....I'll spoil my dinner." Was it she who said that? She was too entranced by the apple to care. "Oh surely ONE little bite wouldn't hurt? It would mean so much to a poor old woman like myself if her highness would have but a bite." the warm voice said. It was filled with sadness and the princesses heart ached for the poor old woman. Surely a woman this old and poor cannot mean any harm. Wasn't it part of responsibilities to make sure her subjects were happy? And the apple did look so good and fresh, surely a REAL poison apple couldn't look THIS good... "Well MAYBE one bite." she said cautiously reaching for the apple.......
