"Name?" His deep voice floats across the table to me.
"Autumn." I answer drinking in his appearance and the way the blinking light above us shines off his chocolate brown hair.
"How old are you?"
"I'm 18 years of age." I say keeping my voice steady. His pen starts to move across the page in front of him but stops as he glares up at me "Alright, I'm 16." I drum my fingers against the metallic table.
"What's your opinion on life?"
"My opinion on life?" I repeat confused. "I don't know. It's ok I guess."
"What sort of things are you interested in?"
I pick at the black nail polish chipping off my fingernails. "Reading, drawing, story writing, listening to music..." I watch the pen in his hands scribble across the page.
"That's very interesting; I wouldn't take you for the type of person who enjoys reading."
I meet his dark eyes. "Well, you know what they say... never judge a book."
"What sort of music are you into Autumn?"
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"Just answer the question."
"Fine, I'm into metal and rock like Papa Roach and Three Days Grace." I dart my eyes around the plain, dull room. There's a huge mirror covering most of the wall to my left. I'm completely aware of the people on the other side listening to everything I say, watching everything I do.
"Can I go now?" I ask bored.
"Just a few more questions. What type of person would your friends describe you as?"
"I don't know... a protector. Someone who looks after their friends no matter what."
"Would you kill for them?" The look on his face told me that he already knew the answer.
A sly smile rose on my face. "Maybe." I run my tongue along the top row of my teeth. I feel the sharpness of the ones either side of my front teeth. My blood starts rushing in my veins. I can feel the animal pounding inside of me trying to escape
"That's all for now but I'll be questioning you again soon." His chair scrapes against the floor as my heart beat slows down. My claws retract as he leaves the room the door closing behind him with a click.
