Home Sweet Home

Although small this is an actual picture of Thurlow Dam in Tallassee, Alabama where I grew up as a child. The river is the Tallapoosa River. The name Tallassee comes from the Indian name Talisi. When I was a little girl, we had no air conditioning and in the summer I would sleep with my head by the open window. If any gates were down, I could hear the roar as I tried to fall asleep...and it was several blocks from the house. This Blingee is for my own selfish self to have saved in the Blingee Archives for prosperity, but I hope you all enjoy it as well. I wish it were larger. One day maybe I will be smart enough to download a photo and make it larger. Next time I go home, I'll take my own pics! bbateman150118101321estj
