Through the Years... (Suomi and Sverige)

In the 9th century, Nordic Vikings raided and ravaged the European continent as far as the Black and Caspian Seas. During the 11th and 12th centuries, Sweden gradually became a unified Christian kingdom that later included Finland. ●●● In this period lot of things happened, but I think I'll talk about the Kalmar Union and those things in another blingee [actually for the Kalmar Union I already made it: http://bln.gs/b/25ceim but I'll do a more accurate one] ●●● In 1809, Sweden was forced to cede Finland to Russia, after the Absolute Swedish monarchy was defeated in the Napoleonic wars. ●●● Russia assigned Karelia ("Old Finland") to the Grand Duchy, Finland, in 1812.
