Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) “Café Terrace,” is the first of three works featuring a starry sky. A post-Impressionist Master, Van Gogh magnificently captures the subtleties of natural and artificial nighttime light without using the color black. Driven by a love of his art and a quest to find his place in the world, Van Gogh struggled with depression and died at a young age. More than 100 years after his death, the Café Terrace lives on, renamed Café Van Gogh, and repainted in the same tones as his masterpiece.
