I died today...
I died today, But it's ok... I wasn't needed here anyway. My eyes were swollen shut with tears, The friends I had filled me with fear. The boy I cared for ran away, Shattered me on the coldest day. My pain was lethal, too much to bear, I felt like ripping out my hair. My shadow was my only playmate, But she too filled my soul with hate. I ran to hell, for I have sinned, That's when I felt the real had pain kicked in. Screaming, my soul was being torn left to right, I feared I might not survive the night. The devil walked in, he was not as he seemed, He was handsome and pretty, had a dazzling gleam. My heart pounded fast, my blood raced quickly, He flirted with me some and then it had hit me. He did not want me for romance nor for love, For me he had planned something more rough. He promised me many glorious things, Family, a home and other comforting things. Just when I thought his words were sincere, He laughed at me loudly and screamed in my ear! "Girl, you must be foolish to think I love you? I'm playing a prank and my victim is you! I know that you like me, that's why you're my bitch." I knew that my best friend on me she had snitched. He pushed me to the ground, his appearance was shifting, As I thought I was dying, my anxiety was lifting. I still felt cold as Winter's first snow, Shaking and shivering, my mind told me no. I started to perk up after hours of suppression, Does anyone else experience some form of depression? Goth, emo. Gothic, etc. HannahJuly. xoxo.

Incredible poem, very emotional. I suffer from depression too and sometimes write poetry or songs like this. It's immensely painful when you love a guy and they betray you, especially when it becomes clear they never cared for you in the first place. But it's important to pick yourself up and carry on. Don't let them win! They're a waste of space.
